Every person possesses skills and qualities that they can use to benefit the community. You can make a contribution toward the success of the ORSDF and consequently the community. Prior military service from any component is a prerequisite for all positions. |

The modern Oregon State Defense Force (ORSDF) was established in 1961 to provide Oregon with a trained "National Guard Reserve Force." With the Governor as the Commander-in-Chief, the ORSDF serves within the Military Department. The ORSDF, as an augmentation for the Oregon National Guard, is administered by The Adjutant General (TAG) and is a force multiplier in the area of the State's Emergency Operations. Organization and Function of the ORSDF can be found at: ORNGR 10-2 |
